I started shopping for my themed accessories and supplies as soon as we were sure we were having a beach wedding. I started with our beach themed wedding invitations. Since I had a couple of invitations I had to do over again, I was really glad I bought extra. After I got the invitations out of the way, my next step was finding the right dress for a beach wedding. I looked at several dresses and gorgeous full length gowns, but really couldn’t make up my mind. I fell in love with two of the floor length gowns, but wasn’t quite sure if it would be uncomfortable to wear to a beach wedding. I picked out a gorgeous spaghetti strapped dress made of satin and lace with beautiful little beads scattered around it, in a knee length.
The bridesmaids wore lovely little linen halter beach dresses with a crocheted bodice covering. My handsome groom wore a sky blue linen shirt and white linen pants and his groomsmen wore white linen shirts with sand colored linen pants. Our flower girl wore an adorable little sundress and the ringboy stayed nice and cool in his little khaki shorts and white cotton shirt. Everyone in the wedding party looked fantastic and the bouquets were absolutely the most beautiful arrangements I could have found.
With all the pictures I wanted taken of our wedding ceremony and reception, maybe I should have bought two personalized wedding albums. I planned to have pictures of all the fantastic decorations at our wedding and reception and photos of every guest that attended. I especially wanted photos of us taking our vows under the beautiful flowered arch and satin canopy we had put up. Directly after the ceremony we left to change into more suitable beach wear for the reception party. Although a few of our wedding party went home to change into their beach clothes, there were some that decided to just wear their swimsuits under their wedding clothes. The guests were informed on the invitations to wear casual clothing.
Everyone thought our reception tables were so beautiful with all the beach themed wedding accessories I had found for them. The place I shopped not only had the beach wedding album I wanted, but so many more accessories to go with it. I found the cutest little beach chairs as place card holders that they can use for their favorite little photo later. I really liked them and I’m sure our guests did too. They also had beach wedding favors that I just had to have for our guests. I chose adorable tea lights that looked just like sand castles to remind them of our beach party. There was so many terrific accessories and beach décor for our reception tables and our wedding table. They had the perfect crystal stemware, serving set for the wedding cake, wine glasses and a gorgeous beach themed cake topper.
Some of the guests were commenting on the gorgeous décor of our reception tables. Adding to the oceanside atmosphere were lots of gel candles I bought from them to put on our reception tables, and a few tiki torches were placed around the area. Putting together everything for our wedding and reception was not as hard as I thought it would be, thanks to all the help I had in finding the perfect beach wedding accessories and reception supplies online. It couldn’t have been a more perfect dream wedding and reception, with the gorgeous ocean as our background and the warm sand under our feet.
Every once in a while I take out our beach themed leather wedding photo album and remember our special day.
