Wedding Table Decorations for Ceremony and Reception!

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

There is a long list of things to get when planning a wedding and reception. Invitations are the first thing on you list after you’ve decided on a date and location. There is a variety of invitations to choose from. You could buy invitations with a theme, like for an ocean side ceremony, or just beautiful traditional invitations. I decided on a beach motif for my themed wedding invitations.

I bought everything from invitations to wedding favors with an ocean side theme in mind. They had a big list of wedding decorations. I feel in love with the gel candles idea and made sure I had plenty for our tables. I thought the little seashell place card holders I bought were such a unique idea.

I liked the beach themed wedding favors they had to choose from too. I narrowed it down to the picture frames or the lovely beach theme tea lights. Since, I obviously couldn’t have both, I went with the tea lights. I just couldn’t resist them. I even bought two extra so I could have some on my shelf at home. There were a lot of options for wedding table decorations too. You should see the lovely assortment of flower girl baskets and ring pillows I found. I bought my veil and tiara at the same place, too. In fact, I bought most of our accessories and reception supplies there. Not only is the selection fantastic, but the prices were pretty reasonable too. As expensive as weddings are, every little savings can help a lot.

What’s really great is there are so many different themed oriented accessories to choose from. I was very impressed with the seasonal themed accessories. If we were getting married in the winter, I definitely would have gone for the winter wonderland theme. The winter wonderland accessories were so gorgeous. But, for July I chose my favorite, an ocean side theme. I have to say, it turned out fantastic. We all had a great time and our guests commented on what a wonderful reception and wedding accessories we had. Our wedding cake topper became a topic of discussion. It was a lovely cake topper of the bride and groom on the beach.

They thought our champagne glasses were quite special too. There were so many nice accessories on our tables, from our cake serving set to the centerpieces. I also was able to find some very beautiful favor boxes, perfect for an ocean side reception. I can’t believe I got all of these super accessories and supplies online. And the best part was the great prices. Finding my accessories and supplies while browsing the web was a lot easier and much more convenient than I expected. If I would have seen all the wonderful accessories and party supplies they had, I would have ordered them for my friends baby shower that I gave.

I knew I’d have plenty of pictures of the wedding and reception, so I purchased two of their beautiful albums. There were quite a few albums with scrapbooking pages and a special compartment for keepsakes. There is everything under the sun for a beautiful wedding and a super reception.

A lot of our guests complimented me on our reception decorations and our wedding decor. There was a lot of couples kicking up their heels on the dance floor and having a great time. It was a little hard to leave such a great time with our friends and family. But it was time to start on our fabulous honeymoon. I was really excited about this trip, not just because it was our honeymoon, but I’ve never been to any place like this before. I have a feeling this is the start of many years of excitement and happiness to come.

You Can Find Wedding Decorations For Any Theme

Saturday, February 7th, 2009

Planning your wedding, but, not sure which type of theme you want to have. Or maybe you have a particular theme in mind but not sure if you can find the accessories and supplies to pull it off? Well, you can have any themed wedding you desire and there are plenty of choices for wedding decorations to fit all of them. I couldn’t get over how many themes for weddings there actually are and that you can find decorations and accessories for everything from the bridal attire to the wedding favors.

There are some exquisite asian themed items that would make any wedding from the orient come to life. Beautiful lanterns and exquisitely designed guest books, favor boxes and more. I was really impressed with all that was available. The beach themed accessories and decorations were fantastic too, from their floating candles to the beach novelty favors. Favors that would make wonderful keepsakes of the fantastic beach party reception for all the guests. There were also choices for lovely garden weddings, Celtic, country western and even military ceremonies, and for those that want that romantic traditional wedding, well, we all know they have those too. As for me, I’m more the down home type and so is my fiance, so of course, we chose to go with a country western theme, for everything from our invitations to the reception decorations and favors.

I chose a simple, but elegant country styled dress and veil and all of my bridesmaids were dressed in long denim skirts and white blouses with puffy short sleeves, and all the men in the wedding party wore jeans and button down long sleeve shirts, including the groom. Of course as far as shoes go, we all wore cowboy boots. I almost forgot the most important part of the western ensemble, everyone except the bride wore cowboy hats as well. It may sound a little out there, but I’ll tell you it was a fantastic ceremony. I was able to find all the accessories and supplies I needed for my western wedding ceremony décor.

The reception was pretty cool too, we even had a square dance in a barn. We had the tables set up right outside with lots of lights strung around everywhere. We had adorable little cowboy boot mugs to drink from and little metal watering cans filled with wild flowers for our centerpieces with western garland wrapped around it. There were also mini cowboy hats on the tables and I used them as place card holders, and at each table setting was the little western themed favor box I used to package their wedding favors in. My entire wedding décor dripped with a country western motif.

There was lots of great country toe tapping music to dance to with lots of line dancing going on. Great barbecued ribs, chicken and steaks with all kinds of salads, from potato to a tossed green salad. Of course it wouldn’t be a country meal without plenty of corn on the cob and baked beans, I even ordered cornbread cakes to go with the rest of the meal. I tried to make everything as authentic as possible. Even the trip from the church to the reception was special. No limo or other automobiles, we had horse drawn buggies for everyone to ride in, except for those that were brave enough to saddle up.

The barbecue / hoedown was still going strong when me and my new husband rode off into the sunset, in our bride and groom cowboy hats, to begin our honeymoon. All I can say is themed weddings are great. Happy trails!
