This was my first marriage and I wanted to plan the perfect wedding shower. I knew I needed help, so I asked my sister if she wanted to help me. She said yes and was as happy as I was. Planning a wedding shower is time consuming, but I couldn’t wait to start planning it. I always was good at planning showers, so I knew I could make this wedding shower a success. I didn’t have a lot of time and I knew I better get started with the planning.
Me and my sister were looking for a place to have the shower and enough space for all the guests. We found one and it was near my house. We then went searching on the internet for all the decorations and gifts. We saw so many themed wedding shower ideas that were cute. I was relieved to find the decorations and the gifts for my wedding shower and purchased all of them. It was time to find the shower favors. There was a big variety to choose from. I took a lot of time looking because of all the awesome shower favors. When I came across a cotton handkerchief, I knew that is what I wanted my guests to get as a gift. I also thought that I could get one for me on my wedding day. I seen a hankerchief that was so beautiful. I was positive that my family and friends would like the mens handkerchiefs. I planned to get the lace handkerchief for a shower favor for all my guests.
All my plans we going well. We had the hall and ordered all the decorations, gifts and wedding favors. I had to decide what type of food I was going to get for my wedding party. I thought about catering it in, but that was expensive. I went through my recipes and found some awesome dinners and side dishes that we could make. We placed the order for the cake at a bakery near us. All the planning was finished. I found these awesome invitations and mailed them out to family and friends. Now it was a waiting game, waiting for the day of the shower.
My shower day was here and me and my sister went to the hall early to set everything up. We had the hall decorated in no time. When we were done decorating the room, we couldn’t get over how awesome the room looked. I made sure that I took a picture to remember how great it looked. We decorated the tables with a centerpiece and put the cake on the food table. We put a cotton handkerchief at each setting. If you were to walk in the room, you would think how gorgeous it looked.
I had such a good time with my family and friends after they arrived. We all enjoyed each other’s company. We ate and played games. My guests talked about how much they enjoyed getting a handkerchief. I received so many gifts from all my family and friends. It made me sad when the shower was ending, because I really enjoyed myself and my guests did to.
At the end of the shower and when everybody was going home, my guest told me that they really loved the handkerchief. I was so happy that I picked the handkerchief for my wedding favors. My shower was a success and will be in my memory always. I am so glad that my sister was there to plan the shower with me. It made me feel good that she was by my side through this. I picked her to be my maid of honor, because of that.

We found an AMAZING selection of handkerchiefs!

You can definitely call their wedding romantic with all the pretty heart wedding accessories they had for decoration. From the invitations to the  glorious wedding favors everything had cute little hearts on it. The pretty hearts wedding invitations they sent out had a couple of silver hearts on the outside with the scheduling and contact information all printed so that it was right there when you opened it up. With the silver on them, they were rather striking. Even their unity candle for the ceremony had two little hearts hanging in front, and there were gorgeous candle holders for the unity candle and the tapered candles as well. The look of the altar was glorious, with brilliant flower arrangements and candle settings. The tulle was strung from pew to pew, with little hearts on the pews as well. The fact that they tied the knot on Valentine’s Day no doubt had something to do with the whole hearts idea. The bride was so beautiful that you couldn’t take your eyes off of her, and she was the center of an unforgettable ceremony.
At the reception there were hearts and flowers everywhere you looked. The silver hearts wedding theme carried over to the place cards holders at the reception tables, and they complimented the red and white rose centerpieces beautifully. The wine glasses and champagne glasses made the tables sparkle. She really did do a bang up job on table décor There were customized wine glasses with the date of the wedding and the names of the couple, along with crystal champagne flutes. For the bride and groom, there were a couple of very richly adorned champagne glasses. It was very much like the silver hearts wedding invitation they sent out; it was a silver double hearts wedding champagne glass for each of them.
They had a five-layer hearts wedding cake that was really yummy. It looked as good as it tasted. Maybe the one place in the whole wedding where there wasn’t a heart was at the top of the cake, where they had a customized miniature replica of the bride and groom that looked exactly like them. They were really very unique, I’ve never seen a wedding cake topper quite like this one. She picked it out on the web; in fact, it was the same site she purchased her other supplies and things for the wedding from. She took some pictures of her groom and herself, and from that, they put together a cake topper that could have been their twins. I’m sure they’ll treasure that forever.
In the end, we gave a silver hearts wedding to all of the guests. First there was a lovely votive candle holder and also coffee favors decorated in a groom package for the men and a bride package for the ladies, with little heart shaped coffee scoops. It struck me as a neat pair of gifts to give everyone. Actually they had a lot of cute ideas for the ceremony and reception. Obviously, Valentine’s Day made the hearts thing a natural fit, but the way she did it was quite classy. In my opinion, the wedding cake topper took the cake, so to speak. It would be great if they did that for birthdays and other ocassions too. She informed me that they had products for any kind of gathering you might be throwing, and she agreed to show me the website. It was a truly unforgettable evening, and the whole wedding was what every woman dreams of. Their Mexico honeymoon is probably even more fun than the wedding was. I’m looking forward to hearing all about it, and checking out the photos when they get back. From the brochures she showed me, it’s looks magnificent.
