I love attending a theme wedding. They can really be a blast. Last weekend I went to a fantastic wedding and reception. It was a country western themed ceremony.
A quaint little country church was the location of the wedding ceremony. It was really quite lovely with lots of flowers and candles around the altar, and satin bows and ribbons connected at the end of the pews. With the flowered hair pieces and the lovely baby blue dresses the bridesmaids and flower girl looked spectacular. The little ring boy was adorable in his little tux, and the groomsmen were very handsome in theirs, with the white boutonnieres in the lapels. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They were such a lovely couple. A horse drawn buggy awaited to take the bride and groom to the reception.
The couple were having their reception at the country house they had bought a couple of months before. This was a prime piece of property, with a nice house, a barn and two acres of land. I hate to admit it, but I’m a little jealous of all they have accomplished just starting out.
You could tell at one glance how hard she worked at setting this reception in motion. It was absolutely perfect. Wild flowers centered on each table really gave it that down home look. Her choice of themed favors and country decorations was so fantastic. White christmas lights mixed in with a few lanterns completely encircled the picnic tables. With the décor consisting of hay bales and corn stalks on the barn doors, this really gave the perfect appearance of a country reception. They made sure there were plenty of things the kids would enjoy as well as the adults. Some of the kids were bobbing for apples while others were into a wild game of horse shoes, and still others were trying their hand at line dancing. We were all having a fantastic time.
They had a gorgeous cake with a funny country western cake topper that gave everyone a good laugh. The cutest cake topper I’ve ever seen. They even had country themed champagne flutes for the bridal toast. There were also adorable little cowboy hats were the place card holders for every guest. That was such a unique idea.
There was plenty of delicious foods for everyone at the party. They grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, mostly for the kids, and steaks, ribs, and chicken for the adults, with choice of salads and vegetables. It was one heck of a cookout. The fun never stopped, we danced, ate great foods, and had a fantastic time. It was a great country western themed reception.
A beach themed reception is another great party to go to. The beauty of a beach wedding is just amazing. You can feel the romance in the air as the sun sets on the horizon. The warm breeze and the sound of the waves simply adds to the ambiance of the ceremony. I plan on having a beach wedding and reception too, one day.
It was such a relaxed ceremony, with all wedding party and beautiful summer dresses and beach wear. The bride wore a beautiful crepe dress that seemed to match the blue of the ocean, and the groom looked so handsome in his white linen beach attire. The whole ceremony was absolute perfection, just like dream.
Their reception was more than elegant too. Everything for her table décor had something to do with the oceanside. Seashells, orchids and little starfish placed in a sand filled tray, with a gorgeous white candle on each side, was her centerpieces. Her crystal champagne glasses had beach themed stems and her place card holders were little seashells.
She had everything in a beautiful beach décor, from her wedding cake topper to the wonderful theme wedding cakes she had put together. This was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever attended.

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009I love attending a theme wedding. They can really be a blast. I got to go to a really super wedding and reception last weekend. The ceremony and reception was done in country western.
They chose a small country church to hold the wedding ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated with satin ribbon and bows, flowers and candles. With the flowered hair pieces and the lovely baby blue dresses the bridesmaids and flower girl looked spectacular. The tuxes with the white boutonnieres in the lapels made the groomsmen and the little ring boy looked quite handsome. But all eyes were focused on the elegant bride and groom. They made such a handsome couple. After the ceremony the bride and groom left the church in a horse drawn buggy.
The couple were having their reception at the country house they had bought a couple of months before. What a gorgeous place they had with a beautiful house and horse barn on two acres. What a wonderful place to start a new life together, it’s perfect.
You could tell at one glance how hard she worked at setting this reception in motion. Everything was fantastic. Wild flowers centered on each table really gave it that down home look. Her choice of themed favors and country decorations was so fantastic. Around the reception tables it was lit up with lanterns and white christmas lights everywhere. The corn stalks and bales of hay really made this the perfect picture of a down home reception. They had things for the children to do so they could have as good a time as the grown ups. Some of the kids were bobbing for apples while others were into a wild game of horse shoes, and still others were trying their hand at line dancing. We were all having a fantastic time.
The wedding cake was spectacular and the wedding topper had us all in stitches. It was the perfect novelty topper. The western themed champagne flutes were really unique. And she made place card holders out of these little cowboy hats. I thought that was very creative.
There was plenty of delicious foods for everyone at the party. Since they did a lot of grilling, we had our choice of steaks, ribs, and chicken, plus all kinds of salads and vegetables. There was more than enough to eat. Lots of music, dancing, games and food to last all evening. The country western theme was a blast.
There was another themed reception I went to that was also a lot of fun, it was a beach themed reception. The beauty of a beach wedding is just amazing. You can feel the romance in the air as the sun sets on the horizon. It’s like a romantic novel with the crashing of waves and the warm gentle breeze all around you. On my wedding day, I want to have a wedding ceremony just like this one.
The bridesmaids wore gorgeous summer dresses and the groomsmen wore drawstring pants and linen shirts. Her gorgeous crepe bridal dress was as blue as the ocean waters, and his white linen attire made him even more handsome than he already was. This was definitely a dream come true wedding ceremony.
Not only was the ceremony fantastic, but the reception was exceptional too. The reception tables were decorated with gorgeous beach themed accessories. She had a wonderful idea for centerpieces, with seashells, starfish and orchids surrounding two large white candles in a tray of sand. Her crystal champagne glasses had beach themed stems and her place card holders were little seashells.
Her beach décor was fabulous and she had everything from a beach cake topper to theme wedding invitations that worked perfectly. This was a ceremony and reception I will never forget.
