Saturday, May 2nd, 2009There are tons of suggestions for great wedding favor gifts for the people invited to your wedding ceremony and party with you at your reception. There are picture frames that can also be used as place card holders, novelty favors for almost every season or theme, and many other super ideas. I wanted to give our friends and family something that was glorious, but at the same time, something I knew they would use, so I decided on candle wedding favors. I found just the right wedding favor boxes I wanted to use and I also ordered special hang tags for all.
I added some wedding candles to every reception table to add to the ambiance of the wedding. They really looked nice with all the other decorations and the glorious centerpieces I got from the florist. It’s not just weddings that have the candle gifts for, graduations, birthdays and many other themed events had candle party favors to choose from, and a really nice candle wedding favor for bridal shower parties too. But there’s a lot more that candles and wedding favors at the place I shop at for wedding accessories.
I bought a complete five piece wedding set which has a wedding guestbook and matching pen set, flower basket, ring pillow and a very nice wedding garter. We saved a little money by being able to get so many of our accessories in a set like that at such a low cost. That’s another thing I like about where I got our wedding supplies, the prices are so reasonable, and they even had discount candles wedding favors.
The cake topper we ordered was really unique and was worth a lot more than what it cost us. Our guests got a real kick out of our cake topper because the bride and groom looked just like us. All I had to do was send them a head shot picture of me and my fiance and they did the rest. The three tiered chocolate wedding cake we had made was just gorgeous and was decorated with all red and pink flowers surrounding it. Right beside our lucsious chocolate perfection was the most gorgeous cake knife serving set I’ve ever seen, and I insisted on buying this lovely calla lily set.
For our wedding table we decided on getting the champagne flutes made especially for the bride and groom, but the guests all got beautiful crystal champagne glasses they could keep as an extra party favor. There was no point in keeping them, what would I do with 200 champagne flutes? We had enough momentos of our wedding day, like our photo album, topper, wedding guestbook with all the signatures and so much more. One of the items in our five piece wedding set was the claret colored wedding guestbook with guest sign in pages, a place to list the gifts we received and a special spot for those little momentos. The guest book comes in handy for making out your thank you cards, and it’s nice to have a record of everyone that shared that day with you. You don’t want to say, ‘thank you for your gift’, when you could mention the item they bought for you, so they know you care.
Some of our friends and family complimented me on my choice of unique candle wedding favors as their thank you gifts, and told me how much they liked them. So, I guess I made the right choice. As we were leaving for our honeymoon, many of the guests wished us well and told us they had a great time at our reception. This day in my life, I will always remember and cherish.

Saturday, May 2nd, 2009Its been many years since my wedding and I can’t believe how much everything has changed for the better, including the decorations. When I started browsing the internet I found so many beautiful wedding and reception accessories for almost any type of wedding you could imagine. Beach party weddings can be one of the most fantastic ceremonies with seashells and starfish to help decorate with. There were also some pretty clever ideas for garden and other summer and spring weddings and receptions. I saw glorious new wedding collections for all seasons. The season that was glorious was the winter season because of all the Christmas colors and decorations you can add to your reception. You would be surprised how many people have weddings in the winter and have it outside. That sounds beautiful, but it seems just a little too modern, and too cold for my taste. If I were planning a wedding it would have to be indoors and not outside in the cold. The best place for a winter wedding would be in a setting with a warm cozy fire and warm atmosphere.
Autumn is a beautiful time of the year and my favorite, and it would be a great time to have a wedding. Autumn is the best season for me and the best time to have a wedding, with it’s colorful background as your main motif. When I was married many years ago the only options you had was a church wedding or a county building to get married. Today there are so many various weddings you can plan, that you can have the wedding you always wanted. There are even destination weddings, where you have a few close friends and family go along to the location of your choice for you ceremony. In a few months my daughter will be married and I offered to help her plan her wedding and she decided to have a country western wedding. When she told me her idea for the wedding, I thought oh boy this is going to be one weird wedding, but as we were planning it I saw how awesome it was going to be. She found cake toppers that have a western theme to them, plus everything she needed for her bridal table, including western champagne flutes. They had a style of there own. To make the atmosphere more western she put some hay bales, set up barbecue grills around and even hired a country western band. There will be lights and lanterns strung throughout the reception, giving it that western look. She bought cute little cowboy hats to use as place card holders and added wildflowers in little watering cans as the centerpieces. They’ve arranged to rent a dude ranch for this event, which really surprised me, because, I didn’t know you could even do that. Many of the wedding decorations that she ordered online are a great match for her country western wedding. She ordered delightful new wedding favors for all their friends and family and cowboy hats for the bride and groom.
It’s looks like when this is finished being planned, that it will be a big family barbecue with dear friends. I know it will be a lot of fun and enjoyment for everybody. They even planned to have some country western line dancing in the barn. Now that I knew what to expect I decided to get all the western gear, like blue jeans, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats so I can participate in all the fun. This is going to be a wedding to remember and will be talked about for years to come. Our daughter’s wedding was so much fun, that I’m considering have a country western renewal ceremony and reception for our anniversary.
