Great Groomsmen Gift Ideas!

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

A friend of mine told me about a wedding website that had fantastic wedding accessories and reception supplies at a great low cost, so we checked it out. She spoke the truth, everything from wedding invitations to exquisite little thank you gifts for the guests that could save us quite a bit. I was surprised at all the great groomsmen gifts and bridemaids gifts they carry, as well as so many styles of wedding accessories for both ceremonies and receptions. Needless to say, that’s where I did all my shopping for the wedding decorations and supplies.
First of all, we decided to have a winter wonderland theme wedding since we were getting married in December, and I found so much to work with. I ordered very decorative winter wedding bulletins to send out as invitations. While I was browsing through the flower basket and ring pillow selection, I discovered a great deal on a five piece set with a wedding guest book and pen, wedding garter and the flower girl basket and ring pillow. All the pieces matched and I was really surprised at the total cost of the set, it was so much lower than I would expect. I was reading up on wedding ceremonies and that since throwing petals as the bride and groom leave the church may not be exceptable in many churches and couples are substituting bubbles in place of petals. So I checked out this online shopping site and found bottles of bubbles with lovely little bubble cards to go with them for our ceremony.
You’d be surprised at the marvelous accessories I bought from there. We also ordered our gifts for the bridesmaids, flower girl, ring boy and the rest of the wedding party. With all the groomsman gifts that my fiance had to choose from, it was hard for him to make up his mind.
A mug was the choice for the groomsman favors that he choice and each mug said groomsman on it. Since the cheap groomsman gift and the rest of the people in our wedding was taken care of, I could shop for favors for our friends and family. There were so many wonderful gift ideas for a winter wedding to give to our guests. As thank you gifts, I chose glass votive candles with a frosty winter theme, for all of our guests. Each candle had nice little silver snowflakes around it. The votive candles came in adorable little wedding favor boxes with a lovely silver thank you tag attached.
I also bought place card holders that look like snowy tree ornaments that can be used as an extra little favor for our guests. They had it all, winter themed champagne glasses and serving set and a funny winter wedding cake topper too. Our topper was of a bride and groom skiing and I had the top layer of our cake made into a mountain of snow for the happy couple to placed upon. Our wedding cake was confection perfection and I wanted as many pictures of it as I could get for our beautiful winter wedding album. Right after we took care of the cake cutting, and my brother in law toasted us, we stepped out on the dance floor for our first dance together as husband and wife. With all eyes on us as we danced, I felt as magical as a princess in a fairy tale.
The rest of the reception was just as perfect as the beginning, and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. All of my girls in the wedding party loved their thank you gifts as did the guys and their wedding groomsmen gifts. Many of the guests at the reception commented on how lovely the winter wedding reception was and how much they appreciated the lovely wedding favors.

I Love A Good silver hearts wedding!

Friday, May 15th, 2009

You can definitely call their wedding romantic with all the heart wedding accessories they had for decoration. From the invitations to the wedding favors everything had fascinating little hearts on it. The classy hearts wedding invitations they mail out had a couple of silver hearts on the outside with the scheduling and contact information all printed so that it was right there when you opened it up. With the silver on them, they were rather striking. Even their unity candle for the ceremony had two little hearts hanging in front, and there were gorgeous candle holders for the unity candle and the tapered candles as well. The look of the altar was glorious, with brilliant flower arrangements and candle settings. The tulle was strung from pew to pew, with little hearts on the pews as well. The fact that they tied the knot on Valentine’s Day no doubt had something to do with the whole hearts idea. The bride was so beautiful that you couldn’t take your eyes off of her, and she was the center of an unforgettable ceremony.
At the reception there were hearts and flowers everywhere you looked. The silver hearts wedding theme carried over to the place cards holders at the reception tables, and they complimented the red and white rose centerpieces beautifully. The wine glasses and champagne glasses made the tables sparkle. She really did do a bang up job on table décor There were customized wine glasses with the date of the wedding and the names of the couple, along with crystal champagne flutes. For the bride and groom, there were a couple of very richly adorned champagne glasses. It was very much like the silver hearts wedding invitation they sent out; it was a silver double hearts wedding champagne glass for each of them.
They had a five-layer hearts wedding cake that was really yummy. It looked as good as it tasted. Maybe the one place in the whole wedding where there wasn’t a heart was at the top of the cake, where they had a customized miniature replica of the bride and groom that looked exactly like them. They were really very unique, I’ve never seen a wedding cake topper quite like this one. She picked it out on the web; in fact, it was the same site she purchased her other supplies and things for the wedding from. She took some pictures of her groom and herself, and from that, they put together a cake topper that could have been their twins. I’m sure they’ll treasure that for a life time.
In the end, we gave a silver hearts wedding to all of our guests. First there was a lovely votive candle holder and also coffee favors decorated in a groom package for the men and a bride package for the ladies, with little heart shaped coffee scoops. It struck me as a neat pair of gifts to give everyone. Actually they had a lot of cute ideas for the ceremony and reception. Obviously, Valentine’s Day made the hearts thing a natural fit, but the way she did it was quite classy. In my opinion, the wedding cake topper took the cake, so to speak. It would be great if they did that for birthdays and other ocassions too. She informed me that they had products for any kind of gathering you might be throwing, and she agreed to show me the website. It was a truly unforgettable evening, and the whole wedding was what every woman dreams of. Their Mexico honeymoon is probably even more fun than the wedding was. I’m looking forward to hearing all about it, and checking out the photos when they get back. From the brochures she showed me, it’s looks magnificent.

Growth RX changed my life.

Friday, May 15th, 2009

I remember being a young man, around twenty or so, and being good-looking and confident, and I was laying around one day trying to remember how that felt. I was physically fit and I liked working hard to stay that way. I’m not going to say that I was a supermodel or anything, but women definitely used to check me out when I walked by, and I got my share of girlfriends back then. Whenever I went to a gym or a beach, I’d always have women looking me over, and I used to love that feeling of getting that attention and feeling the rush of exercising hard.
It wasn’t that long ago in some respects, but the body I had was a long way from that time. There were no gorgeous women getting an eyeful of me while I was laying on my favorite futon, I know that much, and it seemed like that’s all I ever felt like doing. I guess what really bothered me was realizing that I had gotten so far from being in shape that I probably wouldn’t feel real good about it even if a cute lady did check me out. It was as though Father Time had played a trick on me and it was still me, but in a different body.
He said he’d been using some glorious Growth RX, and that I ought to go online and find Growth RX testimonial. His body had definitely been transformed over the previous few months or so, so I told him that I wanted to know if this was the reason for it, and he informed me that this was in fact the reason. I figured I might as well check it out.
Am I ever glad I did. There was a bunch of information about Growth-Rx, and I combed through every line of it. Many people were saying good things about it, so the next step was to figure out what was in the supplement. It turns out that the product is all-natural, which is a big selling point for me because I am very conscious of what I put in my body. The benefits it claimed to have weren’t just building muscle mass, but also increasing energy and reducing muscle recovery time, along with helping to lower body fat levels, so I chose to give it a shot.
It really had an awesome impact on me. I can put on pants and shorts that have been sitting in my closet unworn for more years than I care to think about. My limbs began to look like those of a serious body builder. I was able to step up my work-outs considerably, and I don’t know if that was because my body was recovering so fast from the lifting I was doing or because I had so much more energy. Whatever the case, that dream of getting back to the body I had in my twenties was becoming less of an unattainable fantasy and more of a reality every single day. As I realized that I was taking care of myself better, I started feeling better mentally, too, and my outlook on life improved.
It obviously made me feel like a million dollars when I was out buying some food and a hot young lady stopped and stared at me for several seconds. I just stood there and enjoyed the moment. She wasn’t going to be the only girl getting an eyeful of me now that I was unlocking my physical potential with Growth Rx. I’ll still lay on the futon and take it easy, but I’ll have someone to relax with from now on.

We found an AMAZING selection of handkerchiefs!

Glorious, Affordable Duck Baby Shower!

Friday, May 15th, 2009

Kids need bathtub toys, and Sesame Street’s Ernie even sang a song about one of the classics, a tune called ‘Rubber Duckie You’re the One.’ It seemed like such a unique idea that I wasn’t sure if there would be enough duck baby shower around to plan a theme around, but I realized what I started looking into it that the idea was more popular than I had imagined. I got so many great ideas over the net, and finding adorable little accessories and supplies to go with a duck baby shower was easier than I had expected. There are a lot of adorable glorious duck favors and decorations to be found on the internet for baby showers and even toddler birthday parties.
I put tables that could seat four apiece in my basement rec room since that was plenty big enough for this size crowd. I put baby shower gifts in one corner, and then at the opposite end of the den was a table with appetizers, drinks, deserts, and a layered cake in the form of a rubber ducky and the words baby girl written on it. There were posters of Donald and Daisy Duck, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and the rest of the Disney cast all over the place, and the Daisy Duck one was huge.
At each table were little pink picture frames that I used as place card holders and each frame came with a baby duck in the corner. There were duck favor candles at each table too and on the buffet table were paper plates, cups and napkins all with little baby ducks on them and even the punch bowl was unique. I went to a department store and purchased a little duck shaped baby bathtub and placed a glass punch bowl inside. It looked pretty adorable. I found an ice cube tray that made little duck ice cubes, so I put yellow water in them and froze them. I went all out on this duck themed shower.
On the world wide web, I found a bunch of great ideas, and that’s pretty much where I found everything I needed, but I did get a few recommendations from some of the people at my school. On the Internet is where I found duck shower favors, such as the pretty rubber duck favor bookmarkers I found, and the duck candles, too. We used them as prizes for the contests we had at the baby shower, and all of the guests adored them.
Before the guests starting arriving I filled a big square container with water and placed little rubber ducks in it. Every duck had a number on the under side of it, and every guest grabbed one duck out of the tub as they walked in. A couple of hours into the shower, I picked a number out of a jar, and the person with that numbered duck received an award. We had a lot of fun with the guess the baby picture game, too. I hung a baby photo of every guest who brought their baby picture along on a bulletin board. Each guest got a chance to check out the board and see how many pictures they were able to match up with the faces of the other guests. The one with the most correct matches won a prize.
We had a lot of fun, great laughs and the mother to be got some really neat gifts for her little girl. I’m so glad I found this idea for the baby shower online. I didn’t know how it would all come together, but it all worked out very well in the end. The idea of centering it around ducks made for an absolutely adorable theme.

The Best Ceramic Wedding Gifts I’ve Seen!

Friday, May 15th, 2009

I think the hardest part of planning a wedding is deciding on thank you gifts for your friends and family. You can go with pretty crystal favors, ceramic wedding favors, and even a more practical gift like household items. Whichever you plan on using for thank you gifts, you’ll see that there is a variety of styles for each category.
I’m planning a themed wedding in a country western motif, and I’ve found quite a few exceptional ceramic favors to work with. Every possible motif you could think of for your wedding and reception will still work with ceramic thank you gifts. Like the little tea caddys that I ran across online with nice black ceramic wedding trays to place them on. There are plenty of suggestions from candle holders to gorgeous tea lights and even flower vases as ceramic wedding gifts. In fact, there were so many to choose from, and like I said before, gift shopping is the hardest part of planning a wedding, so, I saved that for last.
So, my tables were first on my list to be accessorized. Picnic tables were the choice for my country western décor, and I put red and white checked tablecloths on each with daisies in little metal buckets to use as centerpieces. The little barbecue grills I picked out as place card holders were so cute, and I thought they would make adorable little souvenirs of our reception for our friends and family to keep. Since we were having a family cookout instead of having our party catered, I thought the little grills were a nice added touch. To have the feel of the old west, we added little miniature cowboy hats for everyone’s place setting and set out cowboy boot shaped glasses for them to drink from. I chose the really lovely honey pots and dippers, with a heart on the end on their handles, as the ceramic wedding favors for our guests, instead of the tea caddy I saw earlier. They were so adorable and they fit right in with the country motif of our reception. But, I came close to choosing one of the candle holders as their ceramic wedding favor because they were just so glorious. With all the great decorating accessories at my disposal, our tables had the look of a real country wedding, and the rest of the motif was perfect too.
With the haystacks we set up and the white lights twinkled in the trees, it was the epitome of a country wedding. A cowgirl with her rope tied to her grooms rope to have him hauled off to the preacher was the wedding cake topper we chose. We all had a good laugh from our whimsical cake topper. We all had a night to remember, with dancing, partying and lots of great laughs. One of the most creative and enjoyable thing we had going on, was an awesome hayride for everyone, and the kids really got a big kick out of that.
All of the people that were in our wedding ceremony got little gifts from us, like our bridesmaids and groomsmen. For the men in the wedding party, my fiance had chosen these cool cowboy steins and thank you gifts, and I chose delicate little ceramic wedding gifts for the ladies. But for the little flower girl and the ring boy we bought tee shirts that had flower girl and ringboy printed on them. Our friends and family and everyone in our wedding party seemed to be very impressed with our choice of wedding favor gifts for each of them.
I also bought a few extras for myself, like a sharp little western themed guestbook and pen, picture album and I even ordered a cowboy hat for me and my husband that said bride and groom on them. I thought this would turn out great, but it was way more better than I had imagined, what a super party we had.

The best wedding memory books I found!

Monday, May 11th, 2009

There are so many events in your life that you want to hold on to, that you can look back on later in life with fond memories. Some examples of treasured memories are your baby shower, bridal shower, your wedding, and many others, to be sure. That’s why my pretty wedding memory books are some of the most glorious items in our home. The photo memory book of my wedding shower that my sister and my loved ones put on for me contains wonderful moments in it. It was a fantastic night, and there are plenty of photographs to prove it. I’ve got pictures of the lovely decorations they had for my party and all the places we went that night, and all the fun things we did. The pictures we have really show just how outrageous that night became . Some of the exotic male dancers we saw posed for a couple of shots. They didn’t have any trouble holding our attention. That was my only foray into the world of exocitc dancers, and it was memorable. They may not have been in Playgirl, but they were definitely worth seeing.
One of the things I picked out when I was buying things for our wedding was a memory book. I’m glad I got one with as many pages as I did. In fact I knew to buy a couple of them, so I’d have enough space for all the pictures. Once the books were full, I still had pictures left over. There were also pages for our guests signatures in one of the albums. They were both lovely personalized memory books with my first initial on the left, the initial of our last name, and on the right my husbands first initial. The ribbon made of satin and the special fabric made the album have a very classy touch. There are also refill pages available if needed, and we certainly need them.
A lot of life-changing events are recorded in my photo albums. I’m sure as the years progress I’ll have even more keepsake memory books filling up my closet shelves. Right now, I have my bachelorette book, my wedding book and my baby shower books. I have a little girl that’s turning three next week and a little baby boy that is only one year old. We got her a pink book and him a blue one because we decided to find out ahead of time what sex they’d be. All of their momentous occasions are recorded in there, such as their first steps and baptisms. I also keep their birth certificates and footprints in their baby memory books along with several pictures of their beautiful little faces. I also put an invitation in the shower books and wedding photo book too. I could open up a photo gallery with all of the pictures I have stored away.
In spite of my husband’s frequent grumbling, I will keep those albums in my closet, because they are mementos of days that were special to me. With the new video camera I just bought, it’s going to be a little different, because now I have to clear room on some shelves in the den for the videos I’ll be making. I’ll probably have to make a lot more room, considering all the memory books we have and the ones I’ll be collecting through the next few years, plus plenty of videos of the kids growing up. Well, a person needs to be able to go back in time every now and then, that’s just a part of who I am. The years ahead with our children are memories I want to hang on to for the rest of my life, and I definitely intend to.

Glorious Groom Wedding Gifts!

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Be it a subdued engagement party or a more risque bachelor or bachelorette party, there are going to be some of the best bride and groom gifts given out. There are a lot of glorious little gifts that you can give your bride and groom to be at these parties. I loved some of the stuff my hubby and I got. Of course plain old money works just fine, and that’s what our engagement party gifts consisted of for the most part, but there were a lot of more creative presents as well. We were given movie and dinner certificates, a bottle of champagne we could use for our wedding toast, two tickets to a Reds game, that we really enjoyed, and little things like that. A lot of our loved ones gave us presents, even though it was not required for engagement parties.
The guys at the bachelor party got my fiance a shirt that said ‘I survived my bachelor party, but I don’t remember how,’ along with some other crazy shirts and things. He also received as a groom gift, a groom sun visor, a mug with the word groom printed on it and a wine gift set. He also got to keep the ball and chain they made him wear all night and an inflatable woman they gave him as gag gifts. The guys had other fun groom gifts they gave him, to ad to the merriment of his bachelor party. The bride gifts I received at my bachelorette party were sweet, although some were meant as gag gifts too. They gave me a shimmering white satin purse with a clasp made of crystal on it and a ribbon on top to boot. There were some feminine items like a manicure set in the bag, along with a tee shirt and pin that were designed for the bride to wear at a bachelorette party. I loved this pillow they gave me which had the word ‘tonight’ embroidered on a side, and then you turned it over and it read ‘not tonight’. What a crazy present that was, and I know I’ll have a lot of fun using that .
At our wedding reception there were no gag gifts, just very nice bride and groom wedding gifts from all of our friends and family. We thought we might get some duplicate gifts, and we did, like a few blenders and a couple more toaster ovens than we really need, but that’s to be expected at such a large ceremony. I was fortunate enough to receive a certain food processor and some fine china that I had requested on my bridal registry. My husband just adored the billards table and bar set that his parents gave us, and I know we will get a lot of use out of that. As a wedding gift from my mom and dad they bought our plane tickets for our honeymoon to the Greek Isles. We received a lot of wonderful gifts on our wedding day from our loving families and fantastic friends.
They are what helped to make our day so special, just being there to share it with us, meant the world to both of us. They were with us every step of the way, from our engagement party to the wedding and to the reception dinner. Being surrounded with great, supportive people like them is what makes life so much more enjoyable. It also helps to have friends that care enough to throw you a wild night with a bachelor party or a mind trippin girls night out bash. With friends like that around, your life will be anything but boring. Thank you notes could never begin to express how much we appreciate their love and support.

An Elegant Bachelorette Party Invitation!

Monday, May 11th, 2009

The first thing I did when I decided to give my girlfriend a bridal shower was to put together a list of everything I was going to need for thte shower. Goal number one was finding a pretty bachelorette party invitation. Now I’m one of those women that really doesn’t like shopping where I have to fight the crowds, or wait in line for price checks, so I decided to go online and see what I could come up with for the bridal shower. I hit the jackpot there. The prices and selection were both better than I expected. The price I paid on some things were almost criminal. The shower invitations were very high quality with pearl edges and silver writing. The site also had glorious party invitations, engagement party invitations, and many other types of invitations.
There were some great little accessories for my shower too, like place card holders for all the little tables I had set up. The wedding guest book was another present I purchased; it would help the couple keep good records of who gave them which gifts. A particular design for a place card holder struck me as being really neat. They had these little plastic handbags that I filled with colorful little candies and found place cards with pink lilies printed on them. Next to the other decorations and presents, they were a real eye-catcher. There’s no type of party that doesn’t have a gift box designed for it. I chose little floral patterned boxes which I stacked on a cake plate in layers and sat on the gift table. It was a good-looking way to set it up, and everyone there just came by and grabbed a gift. I settled on manicure kits for our thank you gifts, and then I got a few more things to be handed out to the winners of the contests that we were going to hold. Some of the other odds and ends I used for door prizes were adorable little bath soaps, make-up mirrors, and novelty keychains.
There were plenty of proposals for bridal shower games on the web as well. In the the game ‘Take It Off,’ each person put a bag over their head and they have to take off one piece of clothing when the leader of the game tells them to, and it doesn’t occur to all of the women to take of the bag; it’s very amusing to watch. This is really a hysterical game to play. There are other mirthful games that we did, like bridal bingo. Looking online saved me a ton of money and exposed me to a lot of options I, otherwise, wouldn’t have known anything about. The favors and invitations I bought were a bargain. The things I purchased were well made, and I spent a lot whole less than I thought I would have to, and had a whole lot more choices. Since the website also sold wedding invitations and favors, I let my friend who was about to get married know about it, since I was sure she could use a wide selection to pick from. So, maybe ordering her accessories and reception supplies from here will help her out in the planning and the finances. The bridal shower wouldn’t have been as good without it. The bridal shower was a sensation, and everyone there liked their shower favors, too. The people who took the time to go to the shower will all get thank you cards, which I’m working on now. Naturally, I bought the cards for thank yous over the Intenet as well. Now I have to go back online because I’m helping my friend plan her sons’ birthday party and they have quite a bit to offer there too.

Beautiful Mikasa Weddings

Monday, May 11th, 2009

I went to a wedding last year where they had mikasa crystal accessories on all of the reception tables. The place settings were so glorious with all the mikasa wedding favors and pretty mikasa crystal glassware. What excellent taste the bride has in decorating a wedding and reception tables. The tables just shined with lustre and elegance with all the different mikasa accessories.
They had little silver doves as the place card holders, and on the end of their tails were little place cards with a bride and groom printed on them. Her centerpieces were quite lovely too and really helped to bring out the ambience of all the accessories she had decorated the tables with. The exquisite pillar candles she had for her centerpieces were so lovely with the floral ring around them. They gave out fantastic party favors for everyone at the reception. Each one of us received beautiful mikasa crystal wedding favors. The favors boxes with the little thank you hang tags was almost as gorgeous as the mikasa crystal favors that were inside.
Deep chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese topping each of the five layers with the fantastic wedding cake they had. She topped the wedding cake with a very exceptional wedding cake topper. Since she ordered most of her wedding supplies and decorations from an online wedding store, she decided to check out the cake toppers too, and found out they customize wedding cake toppers. The bride and groom on the cake topper look just like the wedding couple and they did this with only a couple head shot photos of the bride to be and her fiance. They did a fantastic job capturing the faces of the bride and groom. I had to find out where she ordered her wedding accessories from, the cake topper would be great for my mom and dads’ renewal wedding for their anniversary.
I think one of the funniest part of this whole thing was when it was time for the garter toss. All those single men gathered together with a growing excitement while they watched the groom remove the leg garter from his bride. Then watching them fall all over each other, trying to be the lucky guy to catch it. What was really funny was that the winner of the garter toss was talked into participating by the other guys and he was a widower in his 70’s. As the old man walked off with the garter in hand he was smiling from ear to ear.
The champagne flutes we raised for the wedding toast had the names of the wedding couple and date of the wedding on them and we were given these flutes as extra little gifts. After the toast it was time for the bride and groom to take their place on the dance floor for their first dance together as husband and wife. Watching them dancing together, so elegantly, was so moving. The floor quickly filled up with couples right after the wedding couple finished their first dance. My poor feet suffered the consequences of my all night dancing.
Finally it was time for the bride and groom to depart for their honeymoon, and we all said our good byes. Hawaii was the honeymoon destination, from what I was told by one of the guests. They’ll have a honeymoon to equal this fabulous wedding and reception. The remaining guests stayed behind for hours and continued to party.
I received my thank you note for my gift and my presence at the wedding and reception, after only two weeks. She must have sent out her thank you cards as soon as she got back from her honeymoon. She did let me in on her secret online wedding shopping site, where she supplied the mikasa wedding and ordered that customized cake topper from. In fact, I’m getting ready to place my order right now for my mom and dad’s anniversary wedding.
